Aguiar, Manuel, 71, formerly of Meadowcrest Drive, Riverside, died unexpectedly on December 23, 2009. He was the husband of the late Maureen (Graves) Aguiar.

Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Sven Swenson and Beatrice (Aguiar) Edwards, he lived in Riverside for 40 years and Warwick for 10 years.

Mr. Aguiar was a mechanic for Sullivan Tire Co., Warwick for 16 years before retiring in 2005.

Manuel was a master gardener with his late wife Maureen. He was a supporter of the Defenders of Animals of Providence.

He is survived by two daughters; Lori A. Norberg and her husband Steven of Tennessee and Kimberly A. Kennedy and her husband John of Riverside, three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild due in February. He was the companion of Cathy Price and her children; Amanda, Chace and Seth.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 30 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 11 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
