Taft, Frances, A., ‘Tiggy,’ 85, of Elton Road, died unexpectedly on January 30, 2010 at home. She was the wife of the late Bernard J. Taft Jr.
Born in Worcester, MA, a daughter of the late T. Lynch and Mary (Bradley) Finnerty, she lived in Barrington since 1966 previously residing in Holyoke, MA.
Frances was a communicant, a CCD teacher and member of the choir of St. Luke Church. She enjoyed music, singing, golfing, gardening, traveling, pets and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Taft was a secretary-sales person for RIS Paper Co., Providence for 8 years before retiring.
She is survived by her two daughters; Patricia A. Murphy and her husband Kevan of Newton, MA and Frances E. Taft of Barrington, with whom she resided, a sister; Mary Montanari of Cape Cod, MA, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was the mother of the late Bernard James Taft III.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday February 4, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvery Cemetery, Holyoke, MA.
