East Providence, RI with a photoEsposte, Ellen, V., 91, formerly of Beverly Road, Riverside and East Bay Manor, Wampanoag Trial, Riverside, died on April 6, 2010 at the Courville Home in Nashua, NH following a brief illness.
A native of Nashua, NH, Mrs. Esposte was born on December 8, 1918, a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth J. (O’Connell) Sweeney.
Mrs. Esposte was the widow of Hugo Esposte whom she married on April 19, 1947. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary prior to his death in January, 2008.
Before her marriage Mrs. Esposte worked in the office of J.F. McElwain in Nashua, NH. She later worked in the medical office of Dr. Fred Vohr in Riverside for several years.
Ellen was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella and the Forever Young Club. She was a 1936 graduate of Nashua High School and received her Associates Degree from Boston University in 1938.
Besides her late husband Mrs. Esposte was predeceased by three daughters; Ellen, MaryAnne and Katherine Esposte. She was also predeceased by four brothers; John, Daniel, Edmund and William Sweeney and two sisters; Mary O’Hara and Katherine Sweeney.
Mrs. Esposte is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Virginia M. and Wayne H. Giles of Nashua, NH.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday April 10, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
