East Providence with a photoConley, Mary, A., 85, of Circuit Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on November 30, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William J. Conley Sr.
Born in Seekonk, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Cove) Evangelist, she lived in Riverside for 60 years.
Mrs. Conley was a matron for the East Providence School Department for 10 years before retiring in 1994.
Mary was a communicant of St. Brendan Church, where she was a member of the Forever Young Club and a former member of the Parish Council. She was a strong advocate of education and a volunteer at the Rhode Island Blood Center. She was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons; John J. Conley and his wife Leslie of West Warwick, William J. Conley Jr. and his wife Norma of East Providence and Timothy J. Conley and his wife Catherine of Riverside and six grandchildren; Dylan Conley, Colleen Conley, Brady Conley, Abigail Conley, Emily Conley and Ethan Conley. She was the mother of the late Paul J. Conley.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday December 4, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
