Lister, Catherine, H., (Crowley), 86, of Larchmere Drive, Rumford, died peacefully on March 14, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Lister Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James and Catherine (O’Rourke) Crowley, she was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

Mrs. Lister was a sales person for the former Sheppard’s Co. and Cherry & Webb Co. for 25 years before retiring in 1990.

Catherine enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. A sports enthusiast, she was a devoted New England Patriot and Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by a son; Thomas E. ‘Eddie’ Lister Jr. of Providence, two daughters; Deborah A. Lister and her husband Lee Blais of Lincoln and Karen M. Lister of Central Falls, a brother; Alfred Crowley of Rumford and a grandson; Kyle T. Lister of Boston, MA. She was the sister of the late Eddie, John and Joseph Crowley.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday March 17, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
