Miller, Barbara, A., 73, of Narragansett Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on March 13, 2012 at Newport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward E. Miller and Richard T. Smith Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Mabel (Brown) Hewes, she lived in Riverside for 40 years.

She is survived by two sons; Richard T. Smith Jr. of Bristol and Edward D. Miller of MA, two daughters; Ann Marie Romanoff of LA and Mabel C. Miller of CA, a brother; Thomas Hewes of RI, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Rodney E. Smith and sister of the late Rodney E. Hewes.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday March 16, 2012 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7 pm. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4-7 pm. Burial will be private.
