Lama, Alice M., 78, of Whipple Ave, died peacefully on March 31, 2012. She was the wife of the late Louis Lama.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late, Harry and Bessie (Waterman) Day, she lived in Barrington for 50 years.
Mrs. Lama worked at the Ramada Inn, Seekonk Ma, for 24 years before retiring in 2000. Alice was homemakers were she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. A sports enthusiast, she was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.
She survived by her three daughters; Janice M Peterson, Emma L Ferreira and her husband T. J. and Cynthia L Lama, all of Barrington, a sister; Bessie A Williams, of Cranston , a brother; Harry Day Jr., of Warwick, four grandchildren; Michael A. And Derek Peterson, Thomas Ferreira Jr and Samantha A Ferreira and three great grandchildren; Ciera R. and Isaac A. and Kaemon A Peterson. She was the sister of the late, Eleanor Miller, Marion DeCosta, Gladys Ciliberto, Charles and Shirley Day.
Mrs. Lama’s funeral service will be private. Burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road Barrington. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, Riverside www.wrwatsonfuneralhome.com
