Miozza, Michael, A., 83, formerly of Duncan Avenue, Rumford, died unexpectedly on June 18, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn F. (Cardinale) Miozza.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Michael and Mary (Ioricci) Miozza, he lived in Rumford for 12 years previously residing on Cape Cod, MA and Fort Myers Beach, FL.

Mr. Miozza was a computer programmer at the Davisville Naval Base before retiring in 1981.

Michael was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the Rumford and Fort Myers Beach Knights of Columbus.

Besides his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a brother; Joseph Miozza of Dover, Delaware and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Saturday June 23, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston at 9 am. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 6-8 pm.
