LaPorte, Ollie, M., 88, died peacefully on July 30, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Sheridan B. LaPorte.

Born in Moncla, LA, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Lillie (Jeansonne) Lambert.

Mrs. LaPorte was a retired telephone operator with Southern Belle in New Orleans and AT&T in Pawtucket.

She is survived a son; Gordon B. LaPorte of CA, a daughter; Sharon E. LaPorte of East Providence, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Darrell Lambert, Reva Vead and Narcille Chelette.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday August 4, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, North Attleboro, MA. Calling hours are Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 am.
