Cawley, Mary, K., 86, of Seventh Street, died unexpectedly on Friday October 12, 2012.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Clifford J. Cawley Sr. and Alice G. (McVay) Cawley, she lived in East Providence for 80 years.

Miss Cawley was a school teacher at East Providence High School for 39 years before retiring in the Guidance Department in 1987.

Mary was a communicant of St. Margaret Church. She was a graduate of Trinity College, Class of 1948.

She is survived by a brother; Clifford J. Cawley Assoc. Justice Superior Court of Rhode Island (Retired) and his wife Margaret Ann Cawley of East Providence and two nieces; Kathleen Margaret Cawley and Eileen Ann Azar and her husband Brian A. Azar. She was the aunt of the late Maureen Ann Porell. She is also survived and had a strong relationship with the Swiney Family of New Jersey.

Her funeral will be held on Monday October 15, 2012 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Church, Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 pm.
