Gagnon, Mildred F., 93, of Riverside Drive, Riverside Terrace, died peacefully on July 24, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Emile J. Gagnon.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Chachadore and Gladys (Warner) Tatarian, she was a life-long resident of East Providence.
Mrs. Gagnon worked in the distribution department at the former Cherry & Webb Company for 17 years before retiring in 1987.
Mildred was a member of the Riverside Daughters of Isabella and the East Providence Knights of Columbus Council Woman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed walking, gardening and animals.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Penedo of Riverside. She was the sister of the late Alda and Vivian Brownell and Paul Tatarian.
A private funeral service and burial will be held in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Mildred’s memory to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915 would be deeply appreciated.

I will so miss Millie. She was like a 2nd Mom to me. She was so caring, great cook, and a wonderful laugh. Her kindness goes beyond words. The angels have taken her to a better place – but she will always be with us.
