Beverly J. Morton

Morton, Beverly J., 76, of Putnam Pike, Greenville, died peacefully on August 7, 2020.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Gordon and Audrey (Brunskill) Morton, she lived in Smithfield for 22 years previously residing in Cranston.
Ms. Morton was a Special Education School Teacher for the East Providence School Department for 28 years before retiring in 2002.
Beverly was a member of the Woodridge Congregational Church, Cranston and the Woman’s Guild of the church. She also was a member of the East Providence Retired Teachers Association and the Rainbow Alliance.
She is survived by a brother, Gordon Morton of Barrington; a sister, Janet Thompson of Hernando, FL; two nieces and two nephews.
A Private Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
I enjoyed taking care of Beverly over the years. She was a true lady. I will miss her.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Bev’s family.
She was just a wonderful person, so very kind, caring and giving.
I was lucky to have Bev as a friend. I knew her for years and years. We had some wonderful times together.
She was so thoughtful. She would always include me in her plans.
Bus trips, car trips, boat trips, shopping trips. We did it all.
When I moved to Newport, she would come to visit, and we would always have a great time. She was such a good sport.
When I went to visit her, after having one of her delicious
home cooked meals, she would give me things to bring back home with me. Always thinking of others, that was Bev.
Family meant everything to Bev, and she would speak of her family, all the time. God bless all of you.
Rest in peace dear Bev. I will miss you.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. Beverly and I both taught in East Providence, she was a gracious lady, kind to all. May God richly reward her.
Sorry to learn of Beverly passing. I have known going over 40 years. We had some great times together. Woodridge Church will miss her. May she rest in peace, her fight is over. Peace and love to you all.

Beverly and I were good friends many years ago. My Aunt & Uncle, lived next door to the Morton’s on Begonia Drive. I used to stay at my aunts every weekend in the summer until I was 13. I remember Mr. & Mrs. Morton and of course, Grandma Morton. Bev and I used to take our lunches and go and have a picnic in the new homes there were building in Garden City in the early 50’s. We thought it was great to be able to walk through the walls. I think of those days when I watch Love It or List It or the Property Brothers on TV. I had a lot a good times with the Morton’s and have a lot of pleasant memories. Rest in Peace, Bev, your work on earth is done. Give my best to everyone in Heaven.

I’m so sorry to learn of Bev’s death. She certainly gave it a hard fight. On behalf of the East Bay Retired Teachers Assn. I’d like to extend our sympathy to her family. She will be missed.
