Balcewicz, Stanley J., 99, of Forbes Street, Riverside, died peacefully on Saturday March 5, 2022 at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Nursing Home, Riverside. He was the beloved husband of June E. (Larson) Balcewicz.
Born in Pawtucket, he lived in Riverside for 67 years.
Mr. Balcewicz was a Laborer for the former Newman Crosby Steel Co., Pawtucket for 35 years and also worked at the Metals Recycling, Johnston for 15 years.
Stanley was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10 where he was honored with the title of Honorary Past Commander. He also was a member of the John Banner Association.
Mr. Balcewicz was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II and Korea.
Besides his wife of 73 years, he is survived by two sons, Stephen P. Balcewicz of Riverside and Peter A. Balcewicz of Columbia, TN; a daughter, Christine A. Swope of Boyertown, PA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Helen Jenkins, Eleanor Chaffing, Stella Kelly, Frank and John Balcewicz.
A Private Committal Service with Military Honors followed by Burial will be held in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
I just remember all the happy times you brought to me and especially others let us always remember you by this. My you R.I.P
Peter and I send heartfelt condolences to the Balcewicz family. In our teen years many happy memories were created at Stan & June’s. It was our second home where we enjoyed their company and connected with friends. There was never a dull moment with Stanley as he was truly one of a kind. He was one of the good guys and will be sorely missed.

Miss you stan ?
We had the pleasure of having Stanley and June as our neighbors for the past 21 years. We will definitely miss Stanley keeping our lawn and plants in check! As well as him and Mrs hanging on the porch these upcoming months. I’m sure I will be catching myself looking to see if they are sitting in their chair’s… Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. RIP STAN
Peace to the entire Balcewicz family, Your dad will be missed by so many, we all should to have his energy and work ethic. I hope they have a recycling station in heaven so Stan can tell them how to run it properly. RIP my friend.

I met Stanley not very long a year and a half but he was a funny guy when he use to come visit his wife he would make me laugh I would help him sign in I am the receptionist in the morning he would just have that laugh about him I will miss him rest in peace my condolences to the family I also met his granddaughter Missy we became good friends I am here for u if u need a friend Missy love u
