Carew, Robert S. “Bobby”, 86, of Bentley Street, East Providence, died peacefully on Friday September 9, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born in Providence a son of the late Arthur W. and Victoria M. (Royster) Carew, he
lived in East Providence for 40 years. Bobby was a Building Inspector for the City of Providence for 29 years before retiring in 1984.
Bobby was always well dressed and who was known for his incredible style. He had a passion for cars. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, golfing, gaming activities, listening to Jazz, dining out and socializing with family and friends.
He is survived by his companion of 31 years Paula E. Azulay, a daughter Victoria M. Wills Brooks of Seekonk, MA, 2 sons, Robert S. Carew Jr. Of East Providence, Arron Palmer of Miami, FL, a brother Aubrey M. Carew of North Providence, a sister Florence Carew Johnson-Mitchell of Warwick, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2022 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visitation on Wednesday from 10- 11 A.M. with a service at 11:A.M.
