Rose H. Iuliano

Iuliano, Rose H., (McVey), 101, formerly of Circle Drive, Riverside, died peacefully on Sunday March 5, 2023 at the Westview Nursing Home, West Warwick. She was the wife of the late Anthony Iuliano.

Born in Valley Falls, Cumberland, a daughter of the late Hugh A. and Ellen T. (Schofield) McVey, she lived in Riverside for 71 years.

Mrs. Iuliano was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a former member of the Parish’s Rosary & Altar Society and the Forever Young Club. She also was a former member of the Waddington School PTA.

Rose was a volunteer at the Women & Infants Hospital knitting newborn baby hats. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, playing bingo and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia E. Riecke of Warwick; two sons, Richard H. Iuliano of Sugarland, TX and Kevin A. Iuliano of Ooltewah, TN; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary, Eileen, Francis, Joseph and Hugh McVey Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 31, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

  1. Aunt Rose was a one of kind, such a great lady. Hope you are with uncle Tony, i was lucky to be your godson,my parents did well by me when they asked you to be my godmother….thanks love

  2. I was just thinking of Rose yesterday. She was one of the original members of St. Brendan Prayer Shawl ministry. I enjoyed being with her there. Saying prayers for Rose.

  3. We loved her very much. She was an absolute joy. Thank you for sharing her with us all at West View. The Activities Department will sure miss her presence.

  4. My family knew her from Prov. And then reunited with her when she moved to Riverside behind my Aunt’s house . She was a nice person and enjoyed her and her husband Tony coming to my home. My thoughts and prayers to her family.
