Francis Fayne

Fayne, Francis, 74, of Franklin Street, Riverside, died peacefully on June 18, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra E. (Gardner) Fayne.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis and Jane (Hall) Fayne, he lived in Riverside for 37 years.
Mr. Fayne was a welder for General Dynamics Electric Boat for 39 years before retiring in 2015.
Francis was a member of the BridgePointe Christian Church, East Providence and a frequent patron of the American Italian Club, Warren.
He enjoyed boating, reading and was an avid blood donor. He was a devoted New England Patriots fan.
Mr. Fayne was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.
Besides his wife of thirty seven years he is survived by two sons, George “Randy” Starr of East Providence and Nicholas Fayne of Riverside; a grandson, Braydan Fayne of Florida; five sisters, Carol Fayne of East Providence, Mary Lamb of East Providence, Jenna Post of East Providence, Margaret Beauparlant of Florida and Patricia Fayne of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Nancy Fayne.
A private Memorial Service will be held in the BridgePointe Christian Church, Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Calling Hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
Sandy and family, I am so sorry for your loss of Buddy. He was a great guy, and you had a wonderful life with him. We all had alot of fun back in the day. Love, Karen

Although it is hard to get past the feelings of a personal loss- I try think more about the ways that a person has added positivity to my life.
Uncle Bud was a patriarch and a family man of enviable status. Every time that Xander and I have stopped by unannounced- Uncle Bud, Nick and Aunt Sandy have had nothing but welcoming hearts.
X and I will continue to pop in when we cross the bridge.
I will never forget the pool parties, ‘Buddy Burgers’, and the antics that inevitably pursued.
I will also remember sitting in the backseat of the Grenada on the drives home after those long summer days- when I was initially exposed to the the real ‘golden oldies’ and hearing MaDukes belting out to Bob Seger on the radio.
Most memorably, I will never let go of my memory of that one night when his favorite sister, myself, and my brother went pool hopping in his backyard at 3am undetected!.. We pulled up in Papa Faynes old Ford Grenada. Travis was on leave after boot camp and was the designated driver (obviously ;-). I was about 14 years old, and for years I’ve held this story close to the vest. You were a fine Fella Uncle Bud, Thank you for your service to your country, and especially to our family. 🙂
