Sullivan, Shawn M., 51, of Booth Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on December 10, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Melrose, MA, a son of Neil Sullivan and his wife Judith of Sarasota, FL and the late Julie (Blaine) Sullivan, he lived in Riverside for the past 15 years.
Mr. Sullivan was a roofer in the construction field for the past 30 years.
A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan. He enjoyed swimming, going to the movies and visiting the Loof Carousel with his loving son.
Besides his father, he is survived by his son, Nicholas S. Sullivan of Riverside; a brother, Timothy Sullivan and his wife Tammy of Alabama; best friend and mother of his son, Gina M. Mercer of Riverside and her two children, Rachel and Brook and a nephew, Devin Sullivan. He was the brother of the late Devin Sullivan.
A Private funeral service will be held on Saturday December 16, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Our fathers worked together back in the 80s. I remember all of you fondly. Rest in peace, Shawn.

I have no words for how sad and sorry I am for the loss of Shawn. We just found out and it was a shock. Shawn was a great dad and a good friend. May he rest in eternal peace
I knew Shawn since we were in kindergarten or maybe first grade. He was always humorous and kind. His smile, his laugh, and his personality were unlike anyone else. I always enjoyed just being around him.
Shawn, you will be sorely missed!

I would like to say that shawn was a true friend. He cared so much about the people around him. He was a true leader, and an incredible father. He will be sadly missed by everyone but mostly me!
