Harris, Karen A., 66, of Ledoux Lane, Tiverton, died peacefully at home on January 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence A. Vilardi.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Alice (Isidoro) Starsoneck of Riverside and the late Edward H. Starsoneck. She lived in Tiverton for 28 years.
Mrs. Harris was a Speech Pathologist for 38 years before retiring in 2023 due to illness.
Karen received her Bachelors degree from the University of Rhode Island Class of 1980 and then went on to receive her Masters degree from Western Michigan University Class of 1983.
Karen enjoyed hiking, biking and spending time with her loving family.
Besides her husband of 5 years, she is survived by two children, Jillian Harris of Tiverton and Michael Harris of Tiverton and a brother Paul Starsoneck and his wife Leslie of Traverse City, MI.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Karen’s memory to the Forever Paws Animals Shelter, 300 Lynwood Street, Fall River, MA 02721 would be deeply appreciated.

Karen was a wonderful speech therapist, supervisor and great person to know during the many years I worked with her at VNS.
