  7. Carol was a sweet soul and had the closest relationship with God and the church I’ve ever witnessed. Her daily behind-the-scenes work at St. Brendan’s was directly connected to her mindset of always giving and never asking. Her connection to God was so great and pure that all three of my sons selected her as their confirmation sponsor. Honestly, no other person was ever on their list; Auntie Carol was the only one. She also played every role perfectly in our family, especially in her marriage to my dear friend Mark. The partnership and love between both of them is a perfect example for all of us to follow. No project is big enough when you truly work together. Now, Sherry and I will never be moving an entire house, but if we ever do, we will follow their plan. I am grateful for all of the family cookouts, camping trips, memorial parades and unplanned “let’s visit Carol and Mark tonight” times. All events led to my now cherished conversations with Carol on various topics. From the stories about the Uncles, Riverside, politics, finances and the St Brendan’s Nuns. One of her stories she would mention from time to time was that her uncles would never allow her and any other female to play volleyball. I propose moving forward that we have a volleyball tournament named in her honor but keeping with the Uncle’s tradition that no females are allowed within this tournament. Other stories that will forever make me smile are the “Owl” story and my all-time favorite, “ I’ll Get That Out of Your Dad” story, both classics. Carol you will be so missed but the number of great memories will forever keep you close. Until we see each other again.

  23. Thinking of you all! This loss is especially hard for me.
Remembering our camping days and how much fun we all had together. Carol was the older cousin I looked up to. I loved how she could give it right back to the uncles when they gave her a hard time. Her devotion to family was so evident in the way she cared for her parents, stayed close with her siblings and cared for her own children and grandchildren. I’ve always thought of her as one of the Lusignan cornerstones, keeping family and traditions together. She will be missed by many.
Mark, my heart goes out to you. Losing the love of your life is such a hard thing. Your relationship together showed so many of us what good, lasting marriages can be like. Thank you for that.

Cheryl and Marky, having lived through this with my own parent, I know it isn’t easy, but may you find comfort in knowing that your mom is at peace. It’s such a terrible disease and she was taken from you all far too young!

Hopefully they are all having a wonderful Wall/Lusignan reunion in heaven! There’s probably a dodgeball or volleyball game or family picnic going on right now. And lord know what other shenanigans! I know my dad is up there welcoming her with open arms at the gates of heaven!

May the memories of special times together help you through this difficult time. I pray that you find peace and know that she will always be with you in spirit! Love and prayers to you all! 🙏🩷
