Dearest family of John,
I am so sorry for your loss. I am remembering John, and all of you, with rich memories and love.
Lisa, David and Pam,
sorry to read about the passing of your Dad. Great obit, but one thing you left out was his great love for Avenue N..and his buddy Nick. John was a great neighbor. While walking Winston, placing newspapers on their doorsteps so they didn’t have far to walk to get them in the morning. Giving rides to those who needed them to appointments or shopping.
He was loved by members of the EP senior center, where he had lunch during the week. John, what’s for lunch? I don’t care, I eat everything but liver. He will be greatly missed by many!
Sorry for your loss, I remember some good time’s growing up,May he rest in peace
We are so sorry to hear this news. We loved John so much. He was a dear man, neighbor and friend. Several special memories are seeing him with his trusty companion, Winston, always taking him for walks, each day, and bringing him by, especially when our daughter was very young to let him sit on her lap. Made her day!
And after my husband’s Mom passed, shortly thereafter was Grandparent’s Day at school, and again our daughter was feeling a tad low, no longer a grandparent in the area to take. We suggested she invite our neighbor John who she allows thought of as a grandpa figure. I know it meant a lot to her, and I think it meant a lot to John too to take her.
John always had a smile, always wanted to brighten your day, and he always did. He will be missed! ❤️❤️❤️ Our thoughts out with the family during this difficult time.
