Brenda J. Rocha (Reis), 76, of East Providence died peacefully on Friday December 20, 2024 at Eastgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Providence.
Born November 21, 1948 in Providence, Rhode Island she was the daughter of the late Amario and Irene (Roderick) Reis. She lived in East Providence most of her life. She was a graduate of East Providence High School class of 1968.
After retiring in 1994 as a telephone operator from the former New England Telephone Company she re-enter the workforce as an Administrative Assistant at Johnson & Wales University.
Brenda was a warm and caring family member and friend, who always greeted you with a smile and a earful. She was blessed with the gift of Gab. She had a happy go lucky spirt who enjoyed dining, reading, watching TV and movies.
She was a former member of the Cape Verdean Progressive Center.
She is survived by her son, Anthony V. Rocha II ; of Warwick, granddaughter, Lith “Lilly” Reis; niece, Jaala Reis; nephew, Salim Ali ; two grandnephews, John Glover Jr. and Keijhon DeGrace all of Cape Cod, MA numerous cousins and lifelong friends. She was the sister of the late Amanda V.(Reis) Ali.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, December 27th, from 11 AM – 1 PM in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside. The funeral and burial will be private.
I will miss her. She has gone to a better place. Rest in heavenly peace my cousin. I have lots of memories when you were a little girl. Love you

Those we love can never be more than a thought away for as long as there is a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.
How lucky are we to have someone that makes saying goodbye so difficult.

My condolences to Tony, Mr Rocha, and the entire family. Mrs Rocha was always a kind woman and always treated me well when I saw her. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
