Diane (Di) was born in Providence RI to Walter & Elizabeth Breitenstein on December 19, 1945.

Di graduated from Pilgrim High School in 1963. Di married β€œThe LOVE of her life” Edward (Ed) Hines on 7/6/1968. As an active member of the House of Judah prayer community Di enthusiastically led the youth music ministry for many years. Di was also a Eucharistic Minister.

Di and Ed had 3 children Ed, Kurt & Shannon, 7 glorious grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan Halee, Abby, Brockton, Sophia, & Jacob. And 4 God sent great grandchildren, Cruz, Maddox, Penelope & Valerie. Di cherished every moment spent with loved ones embracing family gatherings and creating lasting memories.

Calling hours will be held on Friday January 24, 2025 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Ave, Riverside from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday January 25, 2025 in St. Patrick’s Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence at 12 noon.

    We are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. We have many happy memories of all the time spent together on Belvidere Ave. and prayer meetings. Her playing guitar and singing the Lord’s praises. May she rest in the arms of Jesus.
