Patricia A. Tierney, 97, of Bullocks Point Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on January 31, 2025 at the Pawtucket Falls Healthcare Center, Pawtucket surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Tierney.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Sullivan) Dalgliesh, she lived Riverside since 1951.

Mrs. Tierney was a Real Estate Manager for over 60 years.

Patricia was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1945. She was a communicant of St. Brendan Church.

Patricia enjoyed gardening, art, drawing, painting and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by a son, Robert J. Tierney Jr. of Rehoboth, MA; two grandchildren, a great grandson and a son-in-law, Gilbert “Vinny” Velasquez of Riverside.

A private funeral service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside followed by a private burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

    My mom and dad have been neighbors for over fifty years.
    I knew Bobs parents they watched me grow up.
    Pat and Bob were such kind people, I will miss seeing Pat when I stop at my moms to visit
    I would always wave hello I will miss her and her wave back to me
    Pat everything you need will be waiting for you in heaven.

  7. Dear Tierney family , so sorry to read of Pat’s passing. Bob and Pat were great
    “across the avenue” neighbors to my family’s homestead. Pat was especially caring to my mother in her later years. I always felt comfortable knowing that Pat kept an eye on #386 from afar, but with a quick phone call, would give me updates on any activity going on across the street. She was a good woman and a good neighbor.
