Muriel A. Thompson

Muriel Adeline (Thibert) Thompson, 96, formerly of Pawtucket Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on April 10, 2025 at the Steere House, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas M. Thompson.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Noel and Mary (Oldham) Thibert, she lived in Riverside for 50 years.
Muriel was a graduate of Pawtucket East High School Class of 1946.
Muriel was a financial manager at Barrington Pediatrics for 45 years before retiring in 1984.
Muriel was a member of the East Providence Senior Center. She was a volunteer for the East Providence Senior Center Library and at the Amos House.
She enjoyed jazz music, martinis, cooking and going to Foxwoods Casino.
She is survived by a sister, Carol Gemme of Warwick and seven beloved nieces and six nephews. She was the sister of the late Joan M. O’Connell and John N. Thibet and aunt of the late and Joseph F. O’Connell Jr.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
