Alfred Rotondo

Rotondo, Alfred, 91, formerly of Riverside, died peacefully on April 20, 2013. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Checrallah) Rotondo.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Domenic and Virginia (Storti) Rotondo, he lived in Riverside for 53 years and wintered in Palm Beach, FL.
Mr. Rotondo was an Administrator for the Veteran’s Administration for 27 years and the State of Rhode Island Disability Determination Division for 10 years. He was the owner of the former Kay’s Shoe Store, Providence and the former Red Carpet Pizza, Riverside.
Alfred was a communicant of St. George Maronite Church. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his loving family and friends. Mr. Rotondo was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran serving during World War II.
He is survived by a daughter; Kati L. Rotondo of Mamaroneck, NY, three sons; Alfred Rotondo Jr. of Florida, Dr. Russell E. Rotondo M.D. and his wife Dr. Cynthia Rotondo M.D. of Knoxville, TN and Glenn C. Rotondo and his wife Pamela Rotondo of Barrington, four grandchildren; Jeffrey Rotondo, Matthew Rotondo, Isabel Rotondo and Natalie Rotondo and several loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Frank Rotondo.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2013 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
