McQueeney, Ann M., “Nan,” (Manley), 96, of Burton Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on June 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John A. McQueeney Sr.
Born in Dunmore, PA, a daughter of the late Peter A. and Genevieve (Fitzsimmons) Manley, she lived in Riverside for 63 years.
Mrs. McQueeney was a secretary for the U.S. Department of Justice for the U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals during World War II. She also worked in Philadelphia, PA for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization service where she was secretary to the Assistant Commissioner for Adjudications.
Ann was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a former member of its Rosary & Altar Society. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and AARP.
She is survived by her children, Helen A. McQueeney of Riverside and John A. McQueeney Jr. Esq. of Riverside. She was the sister of the late Helen San Fellipo, Jean Browning and Mary Manley.
Her funeral will be held on Friday June 9, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
