Anthony Araujo

Araujo, Anthony, 74, of Pinehurst Road, Riverside, died peacefully on October 24, 2017. He was the husband of Marcia (Giblin) Araujo and the late Linda (Crafford) Araujo.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Manuel and Emma (Morris) Araujo, he lived in Riverside for 50 Years.
Mr. Araujo was a supervisor for the former Crafford Tool & Dye Company for 22 years. He also was a freight inspector for the past 15 years.
Anthony was a communicant of St. Martha’s Church. He was a member of the Riverside American Legion Post #10.
Mr. Araujo was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam era.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; Anthony Araujo Jr. of Riverside and Joshua D. Araujo of Wakefield; a sister, Alice Fonseca of Seekonk, MA; five grandsons and a stepdaughter, KerryAnn Moreira and her husband Jaime Moreira of East Providence. He was stepfather of the late Henry J. Cram.
His funeral will be held on Monday October 30, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 p.m.
We are so very sorry to hear about Tony’s passing. He was a very good man and wonderful husband. He loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He worked hard at his job, and was a good provider for his family. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. To Marcia, our sincere condolences…… and Tony will be remembered in our prayers.

It was always a pleasure working with Tony all those years ago. He is at rest finally all the while the family greaves of your loss. My condolences and sympathy to you all.
Heaven has a new angel to watch over us. Although he’s been brought up to heaven, which saddens me… for the relief of all his pain, I am truly greatful. Rest In Peace Tony. Very shocked to hear Tony passed away. He was a very good childhood friend I will miss him. I always remembered playing street hockey in front of his house. One time we went for grapes at the market to make wine.
