Barbara A. (Person) D’Allesandro, 75, of Fenner Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on June 6, 2024 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Edward R. D’Allesandro.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Vincent and Maryann (Flint) Person, she lived in Riverside for 15 years, previously residing in Barrington for 20 years.
Mrs. D’Allesandro received her LPN diploma in 1967 and her associate degree in nursing in 1987 and was a practicing nurse for 50 years before retiring in 2017.
Barbara enjoyed living in Riverside , close to where she grew up. She also enjoyed traveling when she was younger as well as gardening.
Besides her husband of 33 years, she is survived by two grandsons, Devlin N. Anderson and Keagan Gruslin both of Riverside, both of whom she loved very dearly; a sister, Marie Mega and her husband Bob of Rehoboth, MA and three nephews. She was the mother of the late Rebecca J. Fontes and Manuel Fontes.
Her Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 3 p.m.
Calling Hours are Saturday from 1-3 p.m.
