Tait, Eileen F. (Garrahy), 57, of Breeze Way, Riverside, died peacefully at home on June 2, 2019 with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Thomas N. Tait.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Vincent J. Garrahy of South County and Florida and the late Maureen A. (Kendall) Garrahy, she lived in Riverside for 30 years.
Mrs. Tait was an engineering technician for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for 28 years before retiring in 2011.
Eileen was a graduate of Cranston East High School. She loved her family, her friends and enjoyed camping, swedish weaves and pigs.
Besides her husband of twenty nine years, she is survived by a son, Tyler J. Tait of Riverside; two stepsons, Timothy T. Tait of Fall River MA and Bryan W. Tait of Providence; three sisters, Maureen Lott (David) of Plano, TX, Kathleen Leeming (Hank) of Cumberland and Margaret Garrahy (Roberta Billsboro) of McKeesport, PA; two brothers, Daniel Garrahy of South County and Michael Garrahy of Warwick and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 2 p.m. Calling hours are Friday 12 noon – 2 p.m.
