Eileen M. (Clossick) McGuirk

McGuirk, Eileen M., 89, of Riverside, died peacefully on October 30, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. McGuirk.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John and Eileen (Lynch) Clossick, she lived in Riverside for over 60 years.
Mrs. McGuirk was a homemaker and a telephone operator.
Eileen was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Robert L. McGuirk Jr. and his wife Pamela of North Attleboro, Eileen M. Dubuc of Riverside, Kathleen M. Harris and her husband David of Warren and Daniel P. McGuirk and his wife Lisa of Seekonk, MA; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Paradis and her husband Ray of Lincoln and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Clossick of North Kingstown. She was the sister of the late John and Francis Clossick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Thursday November 3, 2022 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 4-7 p.m.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Brendan Church followed by a private burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Eileen’s memory to Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 would be deeply appreciated.
So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was a sweet lady. I enjoyed the chats I would have with her.
My condolences to the McGuirk family. My mom (Irene Machado) became a close friend to Mrs. McGuirk after my dad passed away. “The Girls” had a lot of laughs together and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. I always appreciated the care and concern they had for each other. Rest in peace Mrs. McGuirk.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet mom. While we are not officially related, the whole Clossick and McGuirk family always made us feel like family when we visited our RI Paradis cousins from Maine. I have fond memories of your parents and the Clossick adults, you and all of your cousins when we visited RI as kids. May you find comfort in knowing that she and your dear father are together once again.

Unbelievable timing of the shared loss of our matriarchs! Two ‘Eileens’ born on the same day years apart, were close neighbors and close friends for many years and pass on the same day!
I’m forever grateful mom had Eileen for a nearby friend to share many commonalities. Our families share an uncanny and unforgettable moment in life.
