Emanuel V. Lauria, 91, of Narragansett Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at the Evergreen Home, East Providence on July 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Pacchioli) Lauria.

Born in Mount Vernon, NY, a son of the late Pat and Shirley (Basson) Lauria, he lived in Riverside for 12 years previously residing in Barrington for 30 years.

Mr. Lauria was a Sales Marketing Manager in the electronics industry for many years.

Emanuel was on the committee that implemented the addition to Barrington High School which was completed in 2000. He enjoyed collecting stamps, listening to music and spending time with his loving family.

Besides his wife of 71 years, he is survived by three sons, Emanuel V. Lauria Jr. of Fayetteville, GA, Ken P. Lauria of Ada, OH and David J. Lauria of Barrington; a daughter, Ellen Caputo of Silver Lake, NH; a sister, Tina Tatusko of Cartersville, GA and nine grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Pat Lauria.

His funeral will be held on Monday July 29, 2024 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Emanuel’s memory to the Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 would be deeply appreciated.

  1. What a lovely man and a loving family. I’ll remember those last few years I saw him struggle with those bad knees. He was a trooper. Sending prayers and sympathy to all the Laurias, especially David, who was a big part of our family history and a God-send in the Religious Education program.
