Parella, Frank J. Jr., 97, of Tockwotton on the Waterfront, Waterfront Drive, East Providence, died peacefully on June 1, 2022 at the home of his daughter Mary Ellen (Parella) Jessop. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (Peckham) Parella.
Born in Bristol, a son of the late Frank J. Parella Sr. and Antonetta (Giordano) Parella, he lived in East Providence for 5 years, previously residing in Riverside.
He is survived by his children, Frank J. Parella III and his wife Arlene of East Providence, Christopher J. Parella (Retired Chief EPPD) and his wife Nancy of East Providence, Timothy M. Parella and his wife Victoria of Tiverton and Mary Ellen (Parella) Jessop of East Providence and six grandchildren, Caitlin, Meghan, Victoria, Frank IV, Matthew and Abigail.
His Funeral Service will be private.

Your father was part of the Bristol I grew up in and loved. My parents bought their furniture from him and then I did. My husband and I followed him to Newport.
He was a great negotiator!

I was very sad to hear of your father. I remember both of your parents so well, and they were always welcoming to me at your house on High St. in Bristol. Great memories! Your dad and the furniture store were Bristol “institutions.” You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Great man and salesman who sold us kids beautiful furniture in 1969 that is still in our home in showroom shape. His wife and children all made up a beautiful, loving family. Rest In Peace and our sympathy to his family!
