  3. Mr O’Hare taught me how to swim during our summers when he was one of the head lifeguards at the Bearcroft Swim Club in Attleboro. So many fond memories of those late 1960’s and early 1970’s summers and he was a big part of it.

  8. Jetty,
While I am truly sorry for our loss, I celebrate the joy of knowing Howie (although I would never play croquet with him).
I shall always treasure the evening getting to know him and I did notice you and Leslie never let us play again.
I will always think of him as a kind lovely man who loved his family.

  9. Jetty, I am so sorry to hear this news. I grew up with stories of Howie and my Uncle Craig and their lifelong friendship❤️. My mom making them sandwiches when they were all kids.
In my adult years, I witnessed Howie’s kindness and dedication as he faithfully maintained his relationship and banter with him as Craigs mind failed. Howie could always bring a smile to his face. After my Uncle passed, Howie kept in touch with my mom, checking in on her and reminiscing about years gone by. Sometimes, people touch your heart in ways they don’t even know. Howie is that person.

  10. My deepest condolences to the entire O’Hare family. Mr. O’Hare was my high school guidance counselor. He was synonymous with Case High academics and sports. A good and caring man who will long be remembered by decades of JCHS graduates. I have also had the good fortune of being a work colleague and friend of his daughter Leslie. When speaking with Leslie I often pick up on her Dad’s distinct voice and delivery. Know that he touched many lives and that you are all are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

  11. Coach O’Hare , a man who always knew how to make a young high school student athlete’s proud of their efforts. Coach was the first to encourage and motivate players to give their all.
Thank you for showing me that effort and determination is the path to success
My sincere condolences to the O’Hare family.

  14. I was so sad to hear of Mr. O’Hare’s passing. I remember the first day he walked into our 9th grade class fresh out of college. All the girls fell in love with this blue-eyed crewcut young man. Mr. O’Hare was special right from the start being so young. He could really relate to us high School students.
The last time I saw him was at my 60th high School reunion held at .Magoni’s in Somerset in 2022. We all sat entranced by his recall of past events. It was a special visit.
I will miss you Mr. O’Hare. May you rest in peace.

  17. Jetty,
Howie was special in so many ways and he will be missed. He was a teacher, advisor, mentor, coach and one terrific human being! He coached the right way and as a high school player, you “wanted” to play for him because he made you feel special. I’ve known Howie since I was 14 and I can say he was one special person. I will miss our lunches where we talked about everyone and everything that happened at Case. My condolences to you and your wonderful family.

As a fellow Boston University graduate and as an athlete at Case , Howie always kept many of us together with his arrangements of dinners and his phone calls to many of us. God Bless him for all he did for so many.

He took a few of us to Bryant College stuffed in hos Volvo coup for a tour where we ended up going..Also recall him getting his players discount Converse ” Chuck Taylor” sneakers from the Converse factory. Great mentor to all. RIP Coach

  30. Mrs O’Hare, I was fortunate to have Howie as a coach and he took me to Dean Junior College for an interview and I ended up going there and it made me want to be a physical education teacher like Howie. He helped so many Case students who were lucky to have known him. He was always so positive about things and it spread to his students as a coach and guidance counselor.
