Janice M. (DeRosa) Savard, 73, of Lindy Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on March 13, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at the Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton R. Savard.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Carlo and Mary Jane (Burazer) DeRosa, she lived in Riverside for 31 years.
Mrs. Savard was a Legal Secretary for 20 years before retiring in 2017.
Janice was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Abbruzzese Jr. and his wife Kelly of Chepachet and Richard A. Abbruzzese and his wife Megan of Lutherville, MD; a daughter, Melanie A. Abbruzzese of Johnston; a sister, Joanne Sylvia of Riverside; five grandchildren, Abigail, Hayley, Samuel, Reeve and Charles and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joyce Mancini, Jeanette DeRosa, Carlo DeRosa Jr. and Anthony DeRosa.
Her funeral and visitation will be held on Tuesday March 18, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Janice’s memory to the Gentiva Hospice, 2374 Post Road, #206, Warwick, RI, 02886 would be deeply appreciated.

To Robert, Richard, Melanie and family. I’m so saddened by the loss of your mom Janice. I really admired her. She was a very kind and wonderful woman. She had a great sense of humor and I always enjoyed being in her company. She will be greatly missed. Blessings to you all ❤️
