Joseph Carnevale

Carnevale, Joseph, 82, of Dyer Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on April 7, 2010 at home. He was the husband of the late Edna E. (Hollis) Carnevale.
Born in Cranston, a son of the late Anthony and Effie (Sault) Carnevale, he lived in Riverside for 70 years.
Mr. Carnevale was a Captain for the East Providence Fire Department for 34 years before retiring in 1988.
Joseph was a member of the East Providence Firefighter’s Beneficial Association and the Lincoln Athletic Association. He enjoyed golfing and carpentry.
Mr. Carnevale was a United States Navy Veteran, where he received the World War II Victory Medal.
He is survived by three daughters; Joanne Carnevale of Seattle, WA, Judith A. Daley of Riverside and Jane M. Sweet of East Providence, three sons; John J. Carnevale of Riverside, James R. Carnevale of Coventry and Joseph E. Carnevale of East Longmeadow, MA, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was the last survivor of six brothers and sisters.
His funeral service will be held on Monday April 12, 2010 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon.
