Portella, Lori A., (Silva), 55, of Washington Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on May 26, 2021. She was the companion of Peter Brown of Riverside.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Anntoinette (Rappa) Silva of Warwick and the late Lawrence W. Silva, she lived in Riverside for 20 years.
Mrs. Portella was a cashier for Shaw’s Supermarket of Riverside for the past year.
Lori was a graduate of Cranston East High School Class of 1984. She enjoyed bowling and going to the movies.
Besides her mother, she is survived by daughter, Stacie A. Marques of Riverside and Stephanie A. Marques of Pawtucket; two brothers, Lawrence W. Silva Jr. of Warwick and Michael J. Silva of Warwick; a sister, Elizabeth A. Silva of Warwick and four grandchildren, Emily and Paige Marques and Scarlett and Nathan D’Fontes.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday June 5, 2021 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 4 p.m. Calling hours are Saturday 2-4 p.m.
Lori, I have wonderful memories of playing with you, Elizabeth, Larry, and Michael when we were little kids. David, Joseph and I had so much fun at your house on “The Ledge” in Cranston. We played with dolls, Red Rover (into the neighbor’s bushes, Hide and Seek, Kick the Can, riding bikes, and everything else we could think up. =)
My sincerest condolences to my Auntie Netta, cousins Elizabeth, Larry, and Michael, as well as Lori’s daughters Stacie and Stephanie, and all of her grandchildren.

Lori was a kind and gentle soul.. This isnt goodbye.. Just see you in a while. My thoughts, prayers and sympathies to her loved ones.
Another life taken way too soon. Lori, you were a really nice person and I enjoyed working with you. You will be missed dearly.

Rest well my friend it was a pleasure getting to know you over the time of we worked together I will miss our many laughs shared you were one of the few people who made me feel welcomed in Rhode Island and I am truly grateful to have met you I wish I had gotten to see you before you left the living you were truly a sweet and kind soul and I hope to meet your soul again in life
