Machado, Lucia, C., ‘Lucy,’ 39, of Beacon Park Drive, died unexpectedly on May 16, 2010 at home.

Born in Terceira, Portugal, a daughter of Jose and Zulmira (Bernardo) Machado of East Providence, she lived in Riverside for 13 years.

Ms. Machado was a home health aide for Health Care Connections for the past year.

Besides her parents, she is survived by a daughter; Amanda M. Huftalen of Riverside, a son; Dillon P. Whalen of Riverside, four brothers; Antonio, Peter, Jose and Albano Machado, all of East Providence and four sisters; Tina Diaz of Pawtucket, Maria Qurino and Zulmira Lopes, both of East Providence and Luiza Vierra of Portugal, eleven nieces and ten nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Friday May 21, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
