Margaret “Peggy” DeAngelis

Margaret “Peggy” (McCarthy) DeAngelis, 92, formerly of Foote Street, Barrington, died peacefully on December 11, 2024 at Crestwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Warren, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Joseph DeAngelis.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Cullen) McCarthy, she lived in Barrington for 79 years.
Margaret was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy Class of 1950.
Mrs. DeAngelis was a clerk for the former Narragansett Electric Company for 8 years and a school bus driver for the Barrington School department for 30 years before retiring in 1995.
Peggy was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and was a member of the Royal Travelers. She enjoyed collecting Ann Lee Dolls and spending time with her loving grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, John Paul DeAngelis and his wife Cheryl of Barrington and Christopher J. DeAngelis and his wife Julie of Seekonk, MA; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joan Staton and her husband John.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.

Your mother was a delightful woman. She always kept us on our toes, always put a smile on our faces. Thank you for allowing us to care for her. We will miss her dearly, with fond memories. Thank you for allowing us to care for her.
