Marie Anne (Connolly) Khan, 74, of Sowams Road, Barrington, died peacefully on April 10, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Khalid Khan.

Born in Manhattan, New York, a daughter of the late John E. and Margaret (Enright) Connolly, she lived in Barrington for five years, previously residing in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Mrs. Khan worked as a Registered Nurse for 40 years.

Marie was a communicant of St. Luke Church, Barrington.

She was a basketball enthusiast and enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling, going to the beach, loved sitting on her front porch and most of all she adored all her grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 52 years, she is survived by four children, Casey Khan and his wife Sarah of Richmond, Texas, Danial Khan and his wife Laura of Bellingham, Washington, Erik Khan of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sarah Khan DaPonte and her husband Mark of Barrington; twelve grandchildren, Jackson, Francis, Nicholas, Maggie, Claire, Lucy, Juliette, Rocco, Ozzie, Kevin, Patrick and Saira; a brother, Kevin Connolly of Staten Island, New York and a sister, Eileen Haggerty of Key Port, New Jersey. She was the sister of the late Jack Connolly Jr.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2025 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Wood Street, Bristol at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Bristol.

Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Marie’s memory to the Dana Farber/Boston’s Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 would be deeply appreciated.

  3. Marie Khan was truly one of the finest people I have ever met. She was very smart, intuitive, kind, honest, candid and had a hell of a good sense of humor and a lust for life. Our daughter, Marie’s god child, Molly Marie, will carry her name forever. For the past twenty plus years our families have made many wonderful memories together, shared wild and crazy times and supported and cared for one another.
    Dr. Khan, Sarah, Eric, Dan and Casey; please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your wife, mother and at all times loving friend. My heart goes out to you all over this deep loss.
