Mary T. (Scattino) Natale, 87, of Middle Highway, Barrington, died peacefully at home on March 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony A. Natale.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elisia (Riccardi) Scattino, she lived in Barrington for 63 years.

Mary was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School in Bristol and received her associate’s degree from Becker College, Worcester.

Before starting her family, Mary was a medical secretary for the State of Rhode Island Department of Health. She re-entered the workforce in 1984 and for the next 35 years was the office manager for Marguerite Vigliani, MD.

Mary was a communicant of Holy Angels Church, Barrington.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Natale of Barrington; a son, Peter J. Natale of Barrington and twin sister, Anna Gemma of Johnston. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Scattino.

Her funeral will be held on Monday March 31, 2025 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church, Maple Avenue, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

  3. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Natale’s family. I was a patient of Dr. Vigliani’s for many years and was always happy to see Mary. She was a calming presence with a wonderful sense of humor and always had an encouraging word for everyone. She helped me in more ways that I can count. I always considered Mary a blessing in my life, and I know her memory will be a blessing to her family. Wishing her family peace and love.
