Richard J. Kenney, 62, of Rehoboth, MA, died unexpectedly on April 9, 2025.
Born in Providence, a son of Shirley (Robillard) Kenney of Rehoboth, MA and the late Raymond J. Kenney, he lived in Rehoboth, MA for several years.
Mr. Kenney was the Owner & Operator of the Ray Kenney Landscaping Service.
Richard was an exquisite gardener with devoted attention to details in his organic vegetable garden. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and fishing.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Cheryl Kenney and her husband James Ricci of Bristol and a nephew, Jonathan Kenney of Millis, MA. He was the brother of the late Raymond Kenney and Colleen Kenney.
His Funeral Service will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on a date and time to be announced. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Richard’s memory to Crossroads Rhode Island, 160 Broad Street, Providence, RI, 02903 would be deeply appreciated.
Shirley, we are so sorry to hear about Richard. He was a good man and we enjoyed talking with him. He will be truly missed by many. May he rest in peace.
