Edge, Roderick, R., 62, of Becker Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on January 31, 2010.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, he is the son of Christine (McLean) Edge of Riverside and the late George Edge.

Mr. Edge was a math and science teacher at the Riverside Middle School, Riverside. He also taught at St. Luke School, Martin Middle School and Cumberland Middle School. Roderick was a graduate of Suffolk University receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Education on June 14, 1970. He was a member of the National Educational Association of RI and the East Bay Anglers Club. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two sons; Roderick R. Edge II and his wife Ching-yi Lin and Bryan S. Edge, both of Riverside, and two brothers; George Edge of East Providence and Keith Edge of Narragansett.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday February 6, 2010 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 12 noon.
