Coia, Ronald B., 78, of Rumford Towers, Newman Avenue, Rumford, died peacefully on May 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Janice A. (Medeiros) Coia. They were together for 37 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Anthony and Rose (Malone) Coia, he lived in Rumford for the past seven years.

Mr. Coia was a Foreman Tool Setter for the former Lorac Union Tool Co. for 42 years before retiring in 2005.

Ronald was Vice President of the Rumford Towers Tennant’s Association. He also was the cook and bus monitor at Rumford Towers.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Colleen M. Calandrelli of Attleboro, MA; two sons, Ronald B. Coia Jr. of Okinawa, Japan and David A. Coia of Scituate; a step-daughter, Denise Brian of Cranston; two brothers, Anthony Coia of Warwick and Gerald Coia of Mansfield, CT; seven grandchildren; one great grandson and four nieces.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday May 29, 2021 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside with Calling hours from 2-4 p.m.
