Virginia Bellamy, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was the devoted Wife of the late Frank Robert Bellamy to whom she was married for an incredible 68 years.

Virginia was the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Fiedler. She was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, Norman, and James.
Born on December 23, 1938, in Lowell, Massachusetts, she worked for the lunch program in the East Providence school system for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors; her favorite hobbies included going to the beach, playing slots, going on cruises. She was an avid sports fan. She was the biggest supporter of her athletic family, not missing many games whether it was Football, Hockey, Basketball, Wrestling, Volleyball, Track, Swimming, and gymnastics. Above all else, Virginia loved her large family, which was the most important aspect of her life. She was devoted and took immense pride in her four children, eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. Her favorite saying to all her family was SHINE BRIGHT.

Virginia Leaves her children: Debra Bellamy; Robert Bellamy (Maura); James Bellamy (Maureen); and Joseph Bellamy (Debi). She leaves her grandchildren: Steve Silva (Katelyn); Jamie Silva (Theresa); Robert Bellamy Jr, (Ayla); Kacey Bellamy (Melissa); Corey Bellamy (Kayleigh); Lindsey Whitaker (Christopher); Meagan Bellamy (Eric); Owen Bellamy (Paige); Grace Bellamy; Ryan Bellamy (Amanda); and Kaitlyn Bellamy. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren: Adriana Silva; Ava, Isla, Ronan, Maeve and Teagan Silva; Kane and Rose Bellamy; Barrett Bellamy and Brock Bellamy, Hazel and Lainey Whitaker.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday July 25, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 4-7 p.m.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday July 26, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery. Nayatt Road, Barrington, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations to Friends of Townie Athletics, P.O Box 16521 Rumford RI 02916 would be appreciated.
