Caruso, Yolanda, 93, of Plymouth Road, died peacefully on July 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Michael Caruso.

A lifelong resident of East Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Loretta (Sincero) DeCesare. She summered in Dennis, MA.

Mrs. Caruso was a draftsman and designer for Michael Traficante for 40 years before retiring in 2001. She helped design many elementary schools and housing for the elderly.

Yolanda was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1940 and attended the Rhode Island School of Design.

Mrs. Caruso was a member of the Sts. Matthew and Mark Episcopal Church and the Sons of Italy Women’s Guild. She enjoyed listening to music.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna C. Tobin and her husband Frederick of Coventry, Nancy M. LaRue and her husband Richard of Coventry and Mrs. Paula A. Allen of Seekonk, MA; eight grandchildren, Joy Souza, Brooke Macomber, Shana Hermans, Michaela Driscoll, Andrew Thompson, Morgan Tobin, and Victoria and Shannon Grady and nine great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Anna Falaguerra, Arthur and Fred Santillo and Paul, Michael, James, and Phyllis DeCesare and grandmother of the late James Miller and Judd Tobin.

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 in the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, Blackstone Blvd., Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery.
